Unlocking boundless potential together

"I help connect your physical self with your inner self. We will use your relationships to fuel this, along with medications, therapy and lifestyle changes. With a mutually respectful relationship, the healing becomes seamless, hope will begin to take roots."

Dr. Ramya Seeni, M.D, Psychiatry

Pet mom, mother of 2, a trauma survivor. That’s my story. We all have a story. YOUR story is important; YOU are important.

With over a decade of Psychiatric expertise as an MD and a lifetime of experiences as a daughter to a patient, I bring a unique and deeply personal perspective to healthcare. I received my initial training in the East and refined my skills in the West. As a first generation immigrant, I offer a holistic approach that seamlessly blends Eastern and Western methodologies. My approach encompasses, ayurveda supplements, yoga, meditation, and medications as deemed appropriate. As someone who intimately understands both the cultural nuances of my native background and the challenges of cultural adaptation, I empathize with individuals facing struggles.

For most people who come to my office, I will start by giving them HOPE. I firmly believe in a philosophy that success is NOT linear; I commit to accompanying individuals through the inevitable pitfalls and hard stops they may encounter, allowing them the ability to choose or carve out their unique path. Employing a non-judgmental approach, I prioritize creating a comfortable space for my clients. When faced with moments of silence, I provide the necessary room, keenly observing body cues and subsequently offering motivation. Central to my therapeutic philosophy is the recognition that the only thing constant in life is "CHANGE." Consequently, most individuals leave my sessions with a sense of content or with personalized assignments to facilitate their ongoing progress.

I am well aware of the stigma some associate with mental health issues, often dismissing them with remarks like, "You have food, you have clothing, and you have shelter, it's a shame you are still depressed." Recognizing the spectrum of attitudes towards mental health medications, from aversion to reliance, I strive to find a harmonious balance. My goal is to provide comprehensive care that encompasses bio-psycho-social-nutritional aspects, ensuring your well-being on a profound level — MIND, BODY, and SOUL.

As an Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, at a county hospital, I have gained valuable experience in treating adolescents. And my role at the female prison has positioned me uniquely, allowing me to address addiction issues and conduct forensic evaluations. This nuanced exposure has provided me with a profound understanding of the complexities of addiction and helped me grow in the field of addiction and showed me this is my niché.

I help adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma and addiction regain stability and control over their lives, establish HEALTHIER relationships, and UNLOCK THEIR BOUNDLESS POTENTIAL. As a first generation immigrant myself, I have a passion for working with immigrants who feel unheard and ashamed in their mental health journey. I also specialize in working with individuals who are struggling to navigate relationships due to the severity of their illness, be it schizophrenia or borderline personality disorder.”

When I am not working or volunteering, I am chewing my kids' ears off. I love to scribble, day dream and laze. I have learnt from experience - the happiest place on earth is WITHIN you". I love to watch waves hitting shore and the rocks and calmly receding away... I love to travel to places that elevate nature...
